My background extends well beyond traditional babysitting. As a mother of adult sons, a former public school educator, a published author, and a past director of a family homeless shelter, I bring extensive experience working with children and families across a wide range of needs and environments. My work is grounded in trauma-informed care, with training in nurturing parenting, mediation, de-escalation techniques, and child development, allowing me to respond thoughtfully to both behavior and emotional needs.

Add-On Services: Parent Support
I offer flat rates for bundled services but also offer a range of add-on supports designed to make daily life easier and provide more comprehensive care for your family. These include homework help and tutoring, transportation to and from activities, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and assistance with errands or grocery shopping. I also provide basic pet care, ensuring your home and routines continue to run smoothly while you’re away or managing a busy schedule.

For families with additional needs, I offer specialized support including infant care and high-needs or special needs care, grounded in trauma-informed practice and de-escalation techniques. These services are tailored to each family and child, allowing for flexibility while maintaining a high standard of care.
One Time Daily Care Extra's
I offer additional support options to meet the unique needs of each family. Care for extra children is available, with attention given to maintaining quality engagement, structure, and supervision for each child. Infant care is provided with a focus on feeding routines, sleep support, and early developmental needs, while special needs support includes thoughtful, trauma-informed care tailored to each child’s behavioral, emotional, or medical profile.

I also provide “mommy support,” offering an extra set of capable hands during busy or overwhelming times, whether that means assisting alongside you or helping create space for rest and recovery. For families who homeschool, I offer multi-child tutoring and learning support, balancing individualized instruction with group learning to keep children engaged, supported, and progressing.

Other Terms and Services
A deposit is required for overnight, travel, or extended bookings to secure your dates and ensure dedicated availability. This allows families to plan with confidence while protecting reserved time. The remaining balance is due at the end of service unless otherwise arranged.

I also offer high-level support for children with complex needs, including those requiring post-surgery care or ongoing medical, developmental, or behavioral support. My approach is grounded in trauma-informed practice, de-escalation techniques, and a strong understanding of regulation, allowing me to provide attentive, responsive care in higher-need situations.

In addition, I support families in a variety of practical ways, including maintaining routines, assisting during transitions, and helping create a calm, organized home environment. Whether stepping in during times of stress, recovery, or travel, I provide steady, reliable support that allows families to feel confident and supported.
